SWEET, FLUFFY NOSTALGIA

PAGE THIRTY-ONE

All enlargeable

This Era photo, provided by John N.,
features
a quilted skirt - quite popular.
We find them to produce the same effect as crowded pettis;
that is, a pressing of the  petticoats underneath against the legs.
To us, this is quite noteworthy and exciting!

You never see a man do this!  So woman-like!

"From 1954, two lovely ladies and beautiful gowns. The photo just says:
'Miss Oregon Contest 1954.' My research tells me that the winner on the
left is Diane Carmen, being congratulated by the 1953 winner, Patti Throop."
