"Chicago Tribune press photos for a Chicago* play, Do Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, from July 1988.  From my quick research I find that the story comes from a 1975 book and
was later turned into a very popular play. I don't know if these are from the original play or
a revival. It's a look at eight children going through the Catholic education system in 1950s Chicago. As you can see, that means some nice Pond attire. These are from my collection."
