THE FULLER, THE BETTER!

HELLO AGAIN!
In my initial
comments for my "pinups", I mentioned I was planning to take
up square dancing.
Well, in October of 2000M, I joined the "new dancers" class with the
"Cream
City Squares" a local glbt square dance club. I contacted them
because I thought they would be more accepting of my attire than a
"straight" group. The first lesson coincided with their Halloween
Dance, so it was a good chance to find out if they would accept me in
crinolines. To make a long story short, I have NOT danced in pants since!
One of these photos was taken at my graduation from the beginners/mainstream
class in May 2001.
In October of last year I was eligible to begin regular membership
(memberships run from October to October), and a month later I was elected
vice-president of the club! (In the words of one of the founding members
"The prettiest vice-president we've ever had". Words like that
can go to a
person's head!)
All I can say to anyone who loves pettis, try square dancing. You'll love
it. I'm now learning "plus" and it is still a major thrill to
whirl around the floor, petticoats flying, and ruffle pettipants visible to
all.
To find a "tg friendly" club near you, contact the International
Association
of Gay Square Dance Clubs at http://www.iagsdc.org/
You won't be sorry you did.
Love, DiDi
