John N.  points to this video of Connie Stevens singing with Edd "Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb"  Burns.
Those old enough will remember him as the private eye sidekick on the popular Era TV
show, 'Seventy-Seven Sunset Strip." Connie's dress is a delight!

Sonia found a nice collection from a Paris museum website.
"A 19th century fashion prints series from a French artist that'd escaped my knowledge: Charles Pilatte :

"I always liked 19th C. fashion prints because they very often depict gorgeous fashion, especially from the 1850s-60s. And lots of these are amazing... So when I got on those museum pages, I was (again) confronted to the difficulties of downloading any of it... In this very case, what's the big idea to prevent the downloading of stuff that's way past copyright limits ??? Anyways after a few attempts, I found a work around and so here they are, all of them reunited to my Rosebud Sonia Flickr pages." Note how some of them are way over the top ! ^__^"

"Further to the death (January 7th) of the famous French singer France Gall, who won the Grand Prix de l'Eurovision in 1965
with the song 'Poupée de cire, poupée de son', here is a video clip of the French singer, Jennifer, who sings the same song in tutu!"

'Caporales'. They seem to be carnival dances very popular in South America. Girls will wear 'Mini Polleras', a kind of short bouffant twirling skirt or dress, rather sensual!  Here are some fine examples.   #2   #3
