Petticoat lovers like us will always be suckers for pictures of them being worn (I almost swooned while reading the Alice Lon, TV Guide petticoat story. I would have just about traded my soul to have been like her and have my Mother sew my petticoats! How wonderful it must have been....(sigh). I just adored the Lennon Sisters. I wonder if any pictures of them are floating (no pun intended) around. What enjoyment they must have experienced being idolized by millions for singing and dressing beautifully every week. Even though Welk was a perfectionist and very demanding to work for, it's still wonderful to be feminine!
